Sometimes, growing a small business means taking a step into something completely new.
For Breathe & B: An Array of Gifts, June 2025 marked one of those moments.
After years of building my business online, I took the exciting step of creating a physical retail space at VEND Marketplace in Annerley, Brisbane.
It was a wonderful feeling to see the products I'd carefully chosen and created displayed together in a space of their own.
🌿 Bringing Breathe & B to Life
One of the things I love about Breathe & B is the opportunity to create meaningful little moments through thoughtful gifts, crystals and mindfulness-inspired pieces.
Opening a physical space gave me the chance to bring those ideas together in a different way.
From painting and preparing the display to arranging the shelves and adding the finishing touches, each step was part of creating a welcoming little corner of calm.
There was something special about standing back and seeing it all come together.
💜 The Heart Behind the Shelves
Every product had been selected with care.
There were crystal kits, cleansing tools, mindfulness books, thoughtful gifts and little treasures designed to encourage moments of reflection and everyday calm.
I wanted the display to feel inviting — somewhere people might discover something meaningful for themselves or someone they love.
And, of course, there was the excitement of knowing that customers could now experience Breathe & B in person.
🪷 A Chapter of Learning and Growth
Looking back, opening at VEND was more than simply finding another place to sell my products.
It was an opportunity to try something different, learn about physical retail and discover more about the direction I wanted my business to take.
As with any small business journey, plans evolve.
What feels like the right step at one point can lead us towards new ideas and opportunities we hadn't imagined.
And I've come to appreciate that growth doesn't always mean doing more.
Sometimes, it means recognising what matters most and allowing ourselves to move in a direction that feels right.
🌸 Continuing the Journey
Breathe & B continues to grow and evolve, with a focus on mindful living, meaningful gifts and my nature-inspired Artisan Collection.
While the way I share my creations may change, the intention behind them remains the same.
To offer little reminders to pause, reconnect and find calm in everyday moments.
I'm grateful for everyone who has supported Breathe & B along the way, whether through an online order, a visit to one of my displays, a conversation at an expo or simply a few kind words of encouragement.
Every chapter has helped shape the business I'm creating today.
And I'm looking forward to seeing where the next one leads.
